Assistant Engineer - Transportation Planning

As a Graduate Engineer in transportation planning and modelling at WSP's Bengaluru office serving the Canadian iCRC team, your role will involve assisting senior team members in intersection analysis, traffic simulations, and travel demand modelling. You will be responsible for supporting the submission of traffic impact studies and transportation master plans. Your work will be integral to the multi-disciplinary services offered by the Strategic Advisory & Planning group, focusing on transport modelling of highway intersections and signalized networks, as well as regional/strategic transport systems. **Key Responsibilities:** - Be a core member of WSP's Modelling/Transport Planning team, ensuring attention to detail and quality. - Develop reports and presentations. - Demonstrate a zeal for self-improvement and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance. - Attend and contribute to team and project meetings via Teams and Video-conferencing. - Adhere to project constraints such as time, budget, and resources. - Complete accurate timesheets by set deadlines. - Embed Health & Safety practices into all work in line with company policies. - Perform any other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** - Masters degree in Transportation Planning or Urban Planning with an emphasis on transportation planning from an accredited university. - Solid understanding of traffic engineering, traffic signal operations, and experience with software packages such as Synchro, SIDRA, HCS, VISSIM. - Knowledge of Travel Demand Modelling and experience with related software packages like EMME, VISUM, TransCAD. - Familiarity with graphic design, SharePoint, AutoCAD, Microstation, Bentley InRoads, and GIS software would be beneficial. - Excellent communication, presentation, proposal, and report writing skills. - Post-graduate with 1 to 3 years of international experience. - Highly motivated, open to new challenges, and a committed team player.,
