As a Senior Estimator at Honeywell in Pune, Hadapsar, you will be responsible for supporting the Proposals & Estimation (P&E) function for the HCI business in the APAC region. Your primary role will involve delivering competitive techno-commercial bids with complete ownership of all applicable aspects. You will lead and manage proposals & estimation activities for assigned pursuits, focusing mainly on L4 offerings such as ALMS, PHD, Asset Sentinel, MES, and Cloud-based SaaS solutions. Operating independently, you will demonstrate full accountability and engage with stakeholders at all levels. Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: - Reviewing customer RFQs/tenders, defining scope, designing solutions, writing techno-commercial proposals, preparing detailed costing, and end-to-end bid preparation. - Raising appropriate techno-commercial queries, participating in bid clarification meetings, and responding to customer TQs post-bid submission. - Collaborating closely with sales/business teams and customers throughout the selling cycle, working on technical aspects, competitive intelligence, and solution alignment. - Calculating and optimizing manpower requirements, engaging with Operations/Engineering teams, and preparing technical documents/plans for bid submission. - Liaising with suppliers/OEMs for 3rd party scope, offer evaluation, and working with the sourcing team on vendor engagement and price negotiations. - Collaborating with global P&E teams, other Honeywell business units, Finance, Contracts, and PMO functions for project requirements and approvals. - Identifying techno-commercial risks, planning execution contingencies, and ensuring a smooth handover of projects to the Operations team upon contract award. To be successful in this role, you must have: - A B.E/B.Tech. Engineering Degree in Chemical/Instrumentation & Control or equivalent. - Minimum 7-12 years of total work experience, with 4-5 years in Proposals & Estimation/Bid Management function. - In-depth knowledge of the industry, applications, available solutions, customer engagement, and HCI portfolio/L3 & L4 offerings. - Familiarity with Industrial Software and products in the Oil & Gas domain. - Strong communication skills, project management abilities, and the capability to work within a global team environment. You will be expected to strictly adhere to Honeywell business processes, P&E tools, templates, and best practices, while actively participating in the continuous improvement of SOPs, tools, and templates.
