As an Assistant Engineer within the iCRC Water Team, you will play a key role in supporting the development of wastewater hydraulic models and conducting detailed technical analysis for various projects in the public and private sectors. This position is ideal for individuals who have a keen interest in environmental management, with previous experience in the field being advantageous. Your responsibilities will include providing technical input on wastewater projects as part of the UK iCRC project team, contributing to the development of feasibility studies and optioneering, and utilizing network models to analyze asset performance. You will assist in the preparation of reports and drawings, defining field investigation requirements, and ensuring timely responses to client needs to foster strong client relationships at all levels. Additionally, you will be involved in coordinating and facilitating project meetings both internally and with clients through video conferencing as needed. You will also be responsible for your own professional development under the guidance of your Line Manager. It is essential for all employees to familiarize themselves with health and safety arrangements and relevant guidance, meeting specific duties outlined in GNHS020 Competencies, Roles and Responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Master's Degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering and possess a basic understanding of water and wastewater projects, preferably with exposure to UK Water Industry standards and specifications. A minimum of 2 years of industry experience is preferred. Proficiency in modeling software such as Infoworks ICM, InfoAsset Manager, QGIS, and ArcGIS is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, competency in MS Office, and the ability to work independently on technical matters are desired qualities for this position.
