Position Title: IT Engineer Overview: We are seeking a versatile IT Engineer responsible for providing comprehensive IT support on-site, including troubleshooting and maintaining network infrastructure, supporting manufacturing applications, and assisting with IoT-related tasks. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements and provide seamless support for the connectivity and functionality of various IT systems to enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Maintain network segmentation asset inventory. Maintain site Firewalls, VLANs, and related infrastructure in cooperation with central networking teams. Install and configure IoT sensors and devices per provided manuals and specifications. Monitor and maintain network connectivity of OT systems and devices. Troubleshoot connectivity issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve problems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IT solutions with existing infrastructure. Document installation processes, configuration changes, and troubleshooting steps. Provide support for ongoing maintenance and upgrades of IT systems. Stay updated on IT and IoT technologies and trends to implement best practices. Ensure local digital solutions adhere to global best practices, approved design patterns, and cybersecurity in the aspect of OT/IT networking. Provide IT support for applications such as Nerve Center (Azure platform), OpsVision, and Brilliant Factory (AWS platform), eDHR, and many other manufacturing solutions. Connect and manage Kepware and IoT edge data and VMs. Ensure effective OT/IT network segmentation and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Provide training and support to end-users on various applications and tools. Collaborate with AMEs on-site to understand requirements and decide on the right vendors and suppliers for edge connectivity and sensors. Required Skillset Technical Skills: Proficient in installing and configuring IoT sensors (e.g., temperature, humidity, motion sensors). Knowledge of IoT communication protocols (Modbus, TCP, OPC UA). Experience and understanding of PLCs (programmable logic controllers). Experience with network troubleshooting tools and techniques to diagnose OT connectivity issues (e.g., using traceroutes or network commands to test connectivity). Familiarity with OT environments & network architecture, firewalls, etc. Strong knowledge of OT/IT network segmentation and security (Linux, network segmentation principles, VLAN, switches, cybersecurity practices, ICS, IT segmentation, firewalls, access control lists (ACLs), communication protocols). Experience with Kepware KEPServerEX. Familiarity with Azure, AWS, PowerBI, and ADX. Experience with industrial applications such as Nerve Center, OpsVision, Brilliant Factory, eDHR, and different manufacturing solutions. Understanding of IoT edge data integration and advanced analytics. Docker/Kubernetes skills Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and optimize sensor performance. Ability to analyze data collected from sensors to provide insights for operational improvements. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to document processes clearly and concisely. Certifications (Preferred): Certifications in IT or relevant fields (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Associate, CompTIA Network+, or similar). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in IT support, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Experience working within industrial or operational technology sectors is a significant advantage. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
