Assembly Technician II

You will be responsible for performing routine to semi-routine experiments for process or R & D engineering under general supervision. Your main tasks will include recording and reporting results, reviewing rejected production runs, setting up equipment, and auditing the work of line operators for accuracy. Additionally, you will assist in monitoring the assembly/molding process, troubleshooting problem processes, and identifying quality issues. You will tend automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation, following production/process specifications or instructions provided by higher level technical personnel. You may also be responsible for mold set-ups and line clearance, monitoring various controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. As part of your responsibilities, you will perform tests to verify production/process conditions, report any malfunctions or abnormalities, and make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment as needed. You will maintain operating records and reports of test results, isolate problems for further analyses, collect and document results, and generate reports accordingly. Additionally, you may evaluate new processes, components, products, and systems in conformance with engineering specifications. Your role will also involve monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures, ensuring correct functioning, identifying discrepancies, advising operators, and informing engineers regarding processes, procedures, and equipment. You will be expected to apply and support lean manufacturing principles, as well as support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives. Furthermore, you may be required to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
