Vehicle Assembly - End Of Line (EOL) Production Engineer for Auto OEM in to Commercial Vehicles Manufacturing Position: Engineer - Production Location: Oragadam , Factory site Department: Vehicle assembly - End of Line Production Qualification: Diploma (Electrical & Electronics /Mechatronics/Automobiles/Mechanical) Experience: 5 to 10 years Age: 23 to 33 years Job Description - Role Summary The Engineer Vehicle Assembly, EOL will be responsible for ensuring the quality and delivery of the vehicles at EOL. This includes handling manpower to ensure smooth vehicle delivery, major rework activities, electrical repairs, ECU diagnostics etc.. The role also includes driving continuous improvement through 5S practices and Kaizen initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and safety in the production environment. Roles and Responsibilities 1. Achieving the production targets in EOL 2. Handling Permanent & temporary employees and Union representatives. 3. Leading and participating in continuous improvement projects. 4. Achieving vehicle clearance with targeted Straight Pass Ratio (SPR) 5. Should be able to train & guide the Blue Collar Associates 6. Should be able to comprehend issues related to quality and take effective counter measures 7. Implementing new techniques to improve the productivity. 8. Upkeeping the Quality management systems (IATF, etc) 9. Ensuring 5S and discipline on shop floor 10. Maintaining production tools and equipments. 11. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and practices in all activities. 12. Exposure to Manufacturing Systems (Similar to SAP or MES) Knowledge and Skills Required 1. Experience in vehicle testing, EOL operations, and production line 2. Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting, ECU diagnostics, and repair. 3. Knowledge of equipments and its basic maintenance 4. Strong knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing principles. 5. Should have trouble shooting experience in Truck assembly process. 6. Good communication and interpersonal skills Other Requirements 1. Communication ability / Articulate 2. Flexible in approach and open to new ideas

Role & responsibilities Execute daily operations on the HDT (Heavy Duty Truck) assembly line Meet shift production targets and ensure on-time delivery Troubleshoot assembly line issues and reduce downtime Implement and monitor quality control processes Apply statistical tools (5 Why, Pareto, Fishbone) for root cause analysis Maintain standard work procedures and process compliance Train and guide shop floor associates on best practices Enforce safety, quality, and discipline on the shop floor Operate and monitor gauges, measuring instruments, and checking tools Drive continuous improvements in Cost, Quality, Safety, and Productivity Preferred candidate profile Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory) 5 to 8 years in vehicle/truck assembly line or automobile production Hands-on experience with assembly line operations , quality checks, and team handling Exposure to commercial vehicle or truck manufacturing environment Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing , 5S , and Kaizen practices
