Role & responsibilities Be responsible for planning the production of turbines and its components as per requirements Implement work instructions and process sheets for the production shop floor Finalize the schedule plan for machine loading and turbine assembly on the shop floor Conduct shop floor production meetings and take necessary actions for fallouts Deploy systems for regular preventive maintenance; ensure timely breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime Control stores activity (receipts and shipments) and initiate actions in case of deviation Implement continuous improvement tools like 5S, Kaizen, Kanban etc. on the shop floor Ensure reduction in wastages/pilferage of material; responsible for safety of machines, equipments, power and other consumables Support implementation of environmental and safety regulations; implement safe and positive people and labor practices Implement a safety plan to ensure a safe and healthy work environment; enforce the use of PPEs (Personnel Protective Equipments) on the shop floor Participate in safety audits and take preventive measures Review operational failures to analyze reasons and propose solutions to avoid recurrences Communicate the BFL Ideology to all workmen and provide/organize necessary training Improve production processes by deploying effective production tools resulting in cost reduction and reduction in production cycle time Identify opportunities for outsourcing components manufacturing to improve efficiency and save time Prepare productivity trend charts and monitor the same Provide support to E&C team and also to sub-contract vendors Provide timely support for development of new processes / process improvements Ensure timely rework of site receipt assemblies Ensure effective pollution and waste management as per defined norms Preferred candidate profile Subsidized canteen facilities Free company-provided transport All statutory benefits including superannuation Interested candidates residing in Bangalore/Karnataka may apply within one week by clearly mention the position applied for in your email and send your resume to: shivaprasad@bflhydro.com
