As a Product Design Engineer at Achievers & Dreamers Technologies (A7DTech), you will be an integral part of our innovative team dedicated to creating user-friendly dimmers and regulators with a focus on safety, durability, and energy efficiency. With over 20 years of experience in electrical manufacturing, A7DTech prides itself on fostering a work culture defined by trust, collaboration, and long-term growth. We are looking for a talented individual with a background in software engineering and plastic molding to join us in designing and developing plastic parts and product housings. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SolidWorks, skilled in 3D modeling, and experienced in prototyping, including 3D printing for plastic-molded components. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that mechanical designs seamlessly integrate with electronics and other system components. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop plastic parts and product housings, ensuring manufacturability, especially in injection molding processes. - Create detailed 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks. - Generate 2D manufacturing drawings and documentation. - Collaborate with teams to ensure mechanical designs align with electronic components. - Utilize 3D printing for prototyping parts for functional and aesthetic evaluations. - Optimize designs for material use, cost-effectiveness, durability, and ease of assembly. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a related field. - 2+ years of experience in product design with exposure to plastic molding, preferably in injection molding. - Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and drawing creation. - Working knowledge of 3D printing and prototyping techniques. - Basic understanding of mechanical properties of plastics and design constraints in plastic part manufacturing. - Exposure to embedded systems or hardware design collaboration is a plus. - Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
