The Installation Engineer for Converter/Valve Equipment is responsible for overseeing the assembly and installation activities for HVDC systems on construction sites. You will possess theoretical and practical knowledge in electrical installation of HV equipment and manage converter installation activities in coordination with site and commissioning teams. Your responsibilities will include implementing the assembly of converter modules, fibers, cooling, and primary equipment according to schedule, controlling material quantities, work planning, material stock updates, and reporting, as well as coordinating material deliveries with assembly management, logistics, and companies. Additionally, you will handle environmental protection and safety regulations in compliance with country-specific rules and back office specifications, supported by construction and assembly management, project management, and specialist department. You will also prepare for project-specific technical and organizational peculiarities, coordinate with ECIP, operations planning, design, and technical project management, and incorporate lessons learned from previous projects. Your role will involve the use of assembly drawings, instructions, 3D visualization, implementation plans, parts lists, project organization diagrams, schedules, shipping documentation, and digital site material documentation. You will prepare and utilize EQC051 Acceptance Report for converter module and primary equipment, document component completion and handover to commissioning, and update redline assembly drawings and instructions for as-built documentation. As an ideal candidate, you should have a professional education as an Engineer in Electrical Power Systems with a completed Electrical apprenticeship, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Systems, IT, or Communication Engineering. Fluency in English and basic German (optional), positive handling of conflicts, willingness to learn, teamwork and communication skills, networking abilities, intercultural sensitivity, and a driving license (India and/or International) are also required.
