Job Description

A mechanical assembly fitter constructs, installs, and maintains mechanical systems and components, often in industrial settings. They work with blueprints, hand and power tools, and ensure machines function correctly by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting them. Key Responsibilities: Assembly: Constructing machinery and mechanical systems according to specifications using hand and power tools and interpreting technical drawings. Installation: Fitting and assembling components into larger systems and ensuring proper alignment and functionality. Maintenance and Repair: Inspecting machinery for wear and tear, diagnosing issues, and performing necessary repairs or replacements. Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving mechanical problems to minimize downtime. Reading Blueprints: Interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and other documentation to guide the assembly process. Quality Control: Ensuring that all work meets quality standards and specifications. Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety regulations and procedures during all assembly and maintenance tasks.
