Assembly Fitter

To install, maintain, repair, and service different types of pumps and associated systems to ensure smooth operation, minimal downtime, and maximum efficiency in production and utility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, align, and commission centrifugal, reciprocating, submersible, and other types of pumps.
• Perform routine inspection, preventive, and corrective maintenance of pumps and related systems.
• Dismantle pumps for cleaning, repair, or replacement of defective parts such as seals, bearings, shafts, and impellers.
• Ensure proper alignment and balancing of pumps and motors.
• Conduct troubleshooting and diagnose pump failures or performance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and spare parts usage.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and company maintenance policies.
• Support in maintaining stock of critical pump spares and consumables.
• Collaborate with engineers and operators to improve pump efficiency and reliability.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of pump types, functions, and working principles.
• Hands-on skills in mechanical fitting, alignment, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with lubrication practices, bearing assembly, and sealing arrangements.
• Basic knowledge of safety practices, PPE usage, and work permits.
• Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Qualification & Experience:

• ITI / Diploma in Fitter / Mechanical Trade.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Pump Fitter in manufacturing, utility, or industrial setup.
• Experience in pump maintenance for water, oil, chemicals, or process industry preferred.

Work Environment:

• Workshop, shop floor, or field-based work involving physical tasks.
• May require shift duty, overtime, and emergency breakdown support.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
