As an Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer, your role will involve designing, developing, implementing, and optimizing APC applications within petrochemical plants and refinery operations. Your focus will be on enhancing process performance, improving efficiency, reducing energy consumption, and ensuring operational stability and safety through the application of advanced control strategies. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, implement, and optimize APC applications. - Analyze process data to identify opportunities for implementing advanced process control strategies, statistical process control (SPC), and multivariate data analysis. - Develop and configure APC models, including multivariable predictive control (MPC). - Integrate APC with DCS (Distributed Control Systems), SCADA, and PLCs (e.g., Siemens Honeywell Experion, Rockwell). - Implement APC solutions using modern APC platforms (e.g., Aspen DMCplus, Honeywell Profit Controller, Yokogawa Exasmoc, etc.). - Ensure all APC designs and implementations comply with company safety standards, industry best practices, and relevant regulatory requirements. - Optimize PID Control Loops & Process Automation. - Have experience working with industrial data historians (e.g., OSIsoft PI) and data analytics tools for data extraction and analysis. - Be familiar with major Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) (Honeywell, Emerson, Siemens, Rockwell). - Have hands-on experience with steady-state and dynamic process simulators (Aspen Plus and Aspen HYSYS). - Lead and participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), HAZOP, LOPA studies, and other risk assessments. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. - 12-15 years of experience in the field. - Familiarity with major APC platforms such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, PRO/II, Pipesim, Flarenet, Rockwell Automation, Yokogawa, and Emerson. Location: - The position is based in Abu Dhabi/India. Industries: - Petrochemical, Oil and Gas, Chemical Plants. Joining: - Expected within 4-8 weeks.
