Key responsibilities will include participating in project kick-off meetings, preparing equipment datasheets, coordinating with other engineering disciplines, issuing material requisitions, evaluating vendor offers, and reviewing vendor documentation. You will also interact with clients for document approvals and support proposals for technical reviews and costing. To excel in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 5-10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Knowledge of pumps, blowers, materials, and testing requirements will be advantageous. Proficiency in software such as PV Elite and Nozzle Pro is required. You will work in a professional corporate office setting with regular on-site presence during standard business hours, occasional domestic and international travel may be required. Understanding international codes and standards like ASME Section VIII Division 1/2 and TEMA is crucial. You should be able to collaborate effectively with other engineering disciplines, projects, and client teams. Compliance with global and Indian regulatory requirements applicable to executive positions is mandatory. As an Engineer Mechanical at our Pune, India location within the High Growth Regions department, your responsibilities will include the design of static equipment like pressure vessels, columns, filters, and separators using PVElite software. You will be involved in preparing datasheets, material requisitions, technical queries, technical bid evaluations, and reviewing vendor drawings and documents. Effective coordination and interaction with various disciplines are vital, along with a strong understanding of ASME materials and their selection process. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in project kick-off meetings and understand project/client specifications thoroughly. - Prepare data sheets for equipment and packages. - Coordinate with Process and other engineering disciplines to ensure accurate specification of parameters in data sheets and specifications. - Ensure project requirements are met without over-specifying to prevent increased costs. - Issue Material Requisitions for procurement. - Evaluate vendor offers technically and prepare comparison sheets. - Recommend technical bids for placing orders. - Review vendor documentation and coordinate for inter-disciplinary reviews. - Interact with clients as needed for approval of vendor documents. - Review final documentation and vendor data dossiers. - Support proposals for technical reviews and costing. Core Competencies: - Codes & Standards Compliance: Understanding of international codes and standards like ASME Section VIII Division 1/2, TEMA, and others. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work closely with other engineering disciplines, Projects, and client teams. Qualifications & Skills Required: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 5-10 years of experience, primarily in the Oil & Gas Industry in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment. - Knowledge of pump, blower, materials, and testing requirements is advantageous. - Software Skills: Proficiency in using PV Elite and Nozzle Pro software is essential.
