As a Mechanical Engineer with a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and 5-15 years of experience in Piping Flexibility and Stress Analysis for offshore fixed facilities and FPSO projects in EPC environments, you are expected to have a strong understanding of international piping codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, B31.1, and API. Your expertise in pipe stress analysis software, particularly CAESAR II, will be crucial for this role. Proficiency in 3D modeling tools like SmartPlant 3D, PDMS, E3D, and model review tools like Navisworks and SmartPlant Review is required. Familiarity with FEA software like ANSYS is preferable, along with knowledge of structural interface and civil load transmission principles. Your excellent communication, coordination, documentation, and team leadership skills will be essential for this position. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring the Quality, Budget, and Schedule of activities related to pipe stress analysis and flexibility design. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the Critical Line List, stress analysis specifications, and Pipe Support Std Specifications. Performing detailed piping stress analysis using CAESAR II, generating Single Line Diagrams for piping loads, and conducting Weight Control analysis for offshore piping scope are also part of your duties. You will review and approve piping layouts, prepare Stress Analysis Reports, review vendor equipment GA and nozzle load data, and coordinate with various teams to resolve interface issues. Additionally, you will provide input for spring hanger selections, expansion joint design, and pipe support specifications. Guiding and mentoring junior flexibility engineers, ensuring quality review of their analysis and deliverables, Support Material Takeoff, procurement, reviewing vendor documents, responding to site technical queries, and resolving field stress-related issues are also part of your responsibilities. You should hold a BE/B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of piping design experience, or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of piping design experience. Your industry experience should be in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power, Hydrogen, or LNG sectors. Your role experience should include working as a Piping Design Engineer with leading and reputed Engineering EPC companies. Your responsibilities will include developing piping layouts and 3D model designs for various projects using information provided in the form of data sheets, Process Flow Diagrams, Line Lists, and Specifications. You should have expertise in equipment and piping 3D modeling for various components such as process equipment, tanks/vessels, valves, instruments, pipe supports, and structural steel. You must possess the ability to read and understand engineering documentation such as P&ID, site-plot plan, isometrics, plan & section views, and vendor drawings. Additionally, you should have knowledge of Economic Piping & Equipment layout focusing on safety, accessibility, operability, maintenance ability, and constructability. Furthermore, you should have a strong understanding of various piping fittings & valves, piping materials, inline components, and piping specialty items. Your role will also involve performing equipment nozzle orientation, pipe routing, and support location identification while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards like ASME B31.3, B31.1, EN, and API. You will be required to interface with mechanical, civil/structural, and instrumentation teams to resolve design issues. Having knowledge of special process requirements like free draining, no-pocket, sloped, and 2-phase lines is essential. Strong familiarity with Navisworks for 3D model reviews is preferred. Additionally, you should be capable of preparing equipment layout drawings, piping general arrangement drawings, plans/sections, and bills of material (MTO) for construction materials. Interdisciplinary coordination, preparation of pipe support details & layouts, and interface with stress and pipe support engineers, construction, and suppliers are also part of your responsibilities. Ensuring the quality of piping deliverables through proper flow check, yellow line check P&ID, and 3D model clash detection analysis is crucial. Knowledge of ASME/EN codes, environmental regulations, local and national codes, and regulations is expected from you. Your fluency in English at a professional level is necessary for effective communication in the role.,
