Position Overview The Blow Mold Machines Engineer is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of blow molding machines used in the manufacturing of plastic bottles and containers. The role ensures consistent product quality, machine efficiency, and adherence to safety and production standards. ⸻ Key Responsibilities • Machine Operation & Setup • Install, configure, and operate blow molding machines (e.g., extrusion blow molding, injection stretch blow molding). • Adjust machine settings and parameters to meet production specifications. • Conduct mold changeovers and ensure proper alignment and calibration. • Maintenance & Troubleshooting • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on blow mold equipment. • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues. • Minimize downtime by responding quickly to machine malfunctions. • Quality Control • Monitor product quality during production runs. • Inspect bottles/containers for defects such as thickness variations, leaks, or visual imperfections. • Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, and company quality standards. • Process Improvement • Optimize cycle times and reduce waste to increase machine efficiency. • Implement continuous improvement projects for better productivity and lower production costs. • Collaborate with the engineering team on new product developments. • Documentation & Reporting • Maintain accurate logs of machine performance, repairs, and maintenance schedules. • Prepare technical reports and suggest improvements to management. • Ensure all work follows health, safety, and environmental regulations.
