The Senior Modeler position is responsible for ensuring the quality and timely delivery of project deliverables generated from a Tekla Model throughout the project life cycle related to structural steel detailing. You will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in error-free and efficient modeling techniques. This role involves close collaboration with checkers, modelers, and other detailing team members to meet project requirements and schedules effectively. Your core responsibilities will include studying client drawings and project standards to prepare project checklists, setting up Tekla projects including part prefix, numbering, phase, sequence, etc., providing inputs and coordinating with the development team for automated connections, coordinating with 3D checkers for initial article connections, applying complex manual connections involving multiple planes, numbering the model, creating drawings, validating ABM, reports, and project deliverables, ensuring adherence to the DBMV process during job execution, identifying problem statements and writing RFIs/ICMs in VM, preparing CDS, tagging members in VM promptly, coordinating with Senior Checker and Team Lead for smooth job execution, sharing knowledge and mentoring Junior Modelers, and managing change work by updating and overseeing all changed/updated drawings in compliance with DBMV and client processes. Additionally, this position may involve other duties and responsibilities beyond those listed here. The ideal candidate for this role should have at least 6+ years of experience working on large and complex projects in Structural Steel Detailing. A University Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience is required. Additionally, you should have a certificate or training in 3D modeling software such as Tekla, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc., and possess working knowledge of ASIC standards.
