Job Title :* US Finance Manager Location - Bangalore / Pune Experience:6-10 Years Qualification:** CA (2018/2022 Batch) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Core Skills* Lead end-to-end US finance operations independently from Bangalore for our US entity, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and seamless financial management without onshore support. *Key Responsibilities* 1. Sole Ownership of US Payroll Processing: - Manage full-cycle US payroll for employees across all states. - Administer 401(k) plans (enrolments, contributions, compliance testing, Form 5500 filings). - Handle federal/state payroll taxes (Form 941, W-2/1099, SUI, quarterly/annual filings). - Resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure FLSA/state labor law compliance. 2. End-to-End US Bookkeeping & GAAP Compliance: - Maintain US GAAP-compliant ledgers * Accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and equity accounting. * Revenue recognition (ASC 606) and expense allocations. * Intercompany reconciliations and eliminations. - Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). - Execute month/year-end closing and account reconciliations. - Manage AP/AR, vendor payments, and client invoicing. 3. US Tax & Compliance: - Prepare federal/state income tax filings (extensions, estimates, Form 1120). - Ensure sales tax compliance (Nexus research, filings). - Support financial audits and maintain SOX/internal controls. 4. Additional Finance Management: - Oversight of US banking, cash flow, and expense reporting. - Implement process improvements for remote finance operations. Mandatory Requirements - CA Qualification (2018/2022 batch) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - 6-10 years in US finance operations, including: witj - Hands-on US payroll processing (multi-state, 401k, tax filings). - Full-cycle US GAAP bookkeeping (month-end close, reconciliations, financial statements). - US federal/state tax compliance** (income, payroll, sales tax). - Proven experience working autonomously** without US-based finance teams. - IT/Tech industry background** (SaaS, software, or tech services). - Expertise in QuickBooks Online+ MS Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP). - Ability to work during US overlap hours (6:30 PM12:30 AM IST). Preferred Qualifications - Experience with international payroll/accounting. - Familiarity with NetSuite, Xero, or Sage Intacct. - Exposure to US audit support. Critical Technical Skills US Payroll Expertise: - Hands-on experience with ADP, Gusto, or Rippling - 401(k) administration: discrimination testing, loan processing, annual audits. - Multi-state payroll tax filings: Forms 941, W-2, 1099-NEC, SUI rates. - Knowledge of US labor laws (FLSA, minimum wage, overtime). US GAAP & Bookkeeping: - Full-cycle accounting under US GAAP*: month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting. - Key standards: ASC 606 (revenue recognition), ASC 842 (leases), ASC 350 (intangibles) - Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct. - Advanced Excel: PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros. US Tax Compliance: - Federal/state income tax: Form 1120 prep, estimated payments, extensions. - Payroll tax filings: Forms 940, 941, state withholding returns. - Sales tax management: Nexus research, registrations, returns (e.g., SST). - Documentation: W-9, W-8 BEN-E, 1099 reporting. --- *What Youll Own* - End-to-end responsibility for US financial operations with zero dependency on US teams. - Direct coordination with US HR, employees, and external auditors/vendors. - Accuracy of all US financial data, compliance filings, and payroll processing.
