Role & responsibilities We're seeking a hands-on Test Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Playwright and Tricentis Tosca. Youll design robust, maintainable automation across UI and end-to-end flows, write clear test cases and integrate suites into CI/CD to ship quality with speed. Frameworks & Scripting: Design, develop, and maintain scalable UI automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript and modular Tosca assets (modules/test cases/test sheets). Test Design: Write clear, unambiguous test cases (happy paths, edge cases, negative tests) and convert them into automated suites. CI/CD & Quality Gates: Integrate and orchestrate automated suites in Azure DevOps pipelines; set pass/fail gates and trend dashboards. Defect Triage: Analyze failures, isolate root causes, create high-signal bug reports with logs, traces, and repro steps. Coverage & Data: Own test data management (seed/mocks), environment readiness, and cross-browser/responsive coverage. Collaboration: Partner with Dev and QA to shift-left quality and continuously improve test strategy and practices. Preferred candidate profile 2+ years in software test automation with a strong focus on functional testing. Strong hands-on experience with Playwright using TypeScript / JavaScript (selectors, fixtures, traces, parallelism, test isolation). Practical experience creating and maintaining Tosca modules, test cases, test sheets, and execution lists. Experience with Azure DevOps (repos, pipelines, artifacts) or similar CI/CD. Working knowledge of cross-browser and responsive testing strategies. Proficiency with Git, branching, and code review for test code. Strong debugging skills and ownership mindset. Ability to turn flakey tests into stable suites. Solid grasp of test design techniques.
