What you will be doing Performs monitoring and operational management functions for associated hardware and software within 24x7 processing environment. Recognizes abnormal processing conditions and makes appropriate response decisions. Follows escalation procedures when appropriate to resolve errors in a timely manner. Makes use of available documentation to resolve errors, identifies and implements documentation gaps with the help of leads. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced AS400/iSeries Developer with deep technical expertise in RPGLE, SQL, ILE C/400, CLLE, and IBM for i Web Services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modernizing legacy systems, developing microservices, and integrating AS400 with cloud-based and web technologies. This role requires full-stack development skills, IT management experience, and a strong business understanding across multiple industries, including finance, retail, and ERP systems. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain AS400/iSeries applications using RPGLE, SQL, CLLE, and ILE C/400. Build and enhance REST-enabled web services to integrate AS400 with modern front-end frameworks (AngularJS, Node.js, JavaScript ES7, WebRTC, etc.). Develop and maintain database solutions using DB2/400, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MS SQL Server. Optimize job scheduling and automation using iSeries Scheduler, Robot, cron, and Control-M. Lead Agile development teams in delivering mission-critical financial and ERP applications. Oversee change management using tools such as Turnover, Aldon LMI, SVN, and GIT. Support cloud-based integrations using AWS, IBM CDC (Data Mirror), SFTP, and Bash scripting. Provide IT management expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, and Agile methodologies. Work closely with stakeholders to analyze business needs and architect scalable solutions. Enhance security protocols using SSL, SSH, and ITIL best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in AS400/iSeries development. Proficiency in RPGLE, SQL, ILE C/400, CLLE, and IBM for i Web Services. Experience with RESTful API development and cloud integration (AWS, IBM CDC, etc.). Strong knowledge of ERP applications (Infinium, Oracle E-Business Suite R12, MAPICS, SSA). Experience in financial services, retail, or enterprise software development. Expertise in change management and job scheduling tools (Turnover, Aldon LMI, Control-M, Robot, cron, etc.). Strong understanding of ITIL processes, Agile methodologies, and IT budgeting/forecasting. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system optimization and modernization. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with microservice-driven architectures for AS400 applications. Knowledge of modern web development frameworks (AngularJS, Node.js, WebRTC, JSON, XSLT, HTML5, CSS, etc.). Background in cloud-based financial applications and ERP system integrations. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and reporting in financial services.
