Job Description: Job Description - FactoryHead Company: Della Luxury Products Location: Daman Industry: Luxury Wooden Furniture Manufacturing Reporting To: Director - Della Luxury Products Job Purpose: TheFactory Head will be responsible for leading and managing the luxury wooden furniture manufacturing facility at Daman for Della Luxury Products. The role requires a blend of strong operational management, luxury craftsmanship expertise, and leadership skills to deliver world-class luxury furniture that reflects the brand's philosophy of design excellence, innovation, and uncompromising quality. Key Responsibilities: 1. Production & Operations Management . Lead complete factory operations including cutting, machining, joinery, veneering, polishing, and upholstery for premium wooden furniture. . Develop and execute production schedules aligned with customer and project requirements. . Oversee customized and large-scale luxury furniture manufacturing with precision and attention to detail. . Ensure maximum efficiency of modern machinery (CNC, veneer press, lacquer finishing, automated polishing) along with traditional artisanal techniques. 2. Quality & Craftsmanship Excellence . Uphold Della's global luxury standards in design detailing, durability, finish, and craftsmanship. . Establish robust quality control processes at every stage - from raw material inspection to final product dispatch. . Ensure every piece of furniture meets premium aesthetics, flawless finishing, and functional excellence. 3. Raw Material & Supply Chain Management . Source and manage inventory of luxury-grade hardwoods, veneers, fittings, fabrics, leather, and finishes. . Build strong supplier networks (domestic and international) to ensure consistent supply. . Implement systems to minimize wastage of high-value materials while maintaining cost efficiency. 4. Workforce & Leadership . Lead a diverse team of supervisors, engineers, craftsmen, polishers, upholsterers, and labor workforce. . Recruit, train, and upskill artisans to align with luxury international standards. . Foster a culture of craftsmanship, discipline, and innovation across the factory. 5. Cost, Efficiency & Process Optimization . Monitor and control operational costs while ensuring premium output. . Drive lean manufacturing practices, process improvements, and productivity enhancement initiatives. . Implement MIS reporting systems to track productivity, wastage, costs, and timelines. 6. Compliance, Safety & Sustainability . Ensure full compliance with labor laws, health & safety norms, and environmental regulations. . Implement international standards of factory safety and ergonomics. . Drive sustainable practices in material usage and production processes. 7. Cross-Functional Coordination . Collaborate closely with Design, Sales, Procurement, and Project Management Teams to ensure alignment with customer expectations and brand philosophy. . Provide inputs for new product development and prototyping for luxury collections. . Ensure timely order execution and delivery in line with project commitments. Job Expectations: Key Skills & Competencies: . Deep expertise in luxury wooden furniture production, joinery, and finishing techniques. . Strong leadership and ability to manage large multi-skilled teams. . Hands-on knowledge of modern automated machinery and artisanal methods. . Strong planning, cost management, and process optimization skills. . Excellent communication and vendor negotiation abilities. . Ability to deliver international luxury standards consistently. Minimum Qualification: Graduate / Postgraduate in Engineering / Production / Operations or equivalent. Minimum Job Experience: 10-15 years of experience in wooden furniture manufacturing, with at least 5+ years in luxury furniture at a senior factory management level.
