Job Description

You will be joining the AI Lab team at HP as a Senior AI/ML Systems Scientist. Your main focus will be on conducting applied research in Gen AI with a specific emphasis on edge applications. Your work will involve exploring cutting-edge technologies, collaborating with various stakeholders, and contributing to the development of innovative products within the HP Personal Systems portfolio. - Provide technology leadership in AI/ML, particularly in system performance engineering - Demonstrate proficiency in implementing efficient models in resource-constrained environments - Utilize available hardware resources effectively to optimize model implementations - Propose innovative solutions that enhance existing technologies and create meaningful impacts - Implement alternative approaches and benchmarks from the latest research to identify areas for improvement - Collaborate with development teams and business units to ensure scalable model implementations - Represent the team in your area of expertise when engaging with other stakeholders - Offer guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members - Contribute to patents, external publications, and model documentation - Graduate Degree (PhD ideally) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields OR equivalent work experience demonstrating competence - 3-5 years of experience, including PhD studies, preferably in systems engineering for AI - Proven track record of innovation through patents, publications, or product contributions The AI Lab at HP is at the forefront of cutting-edge research in AI, particularly in the Gen AI space with a focus on edge applications. As a Senior AI/ML Systems Scientist, you will have the opportunity to work on complex problems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and make a significant impact within the organization. Your role will involve developing proof-of-concept prototypes, optimizing models for edge use cases, and contributing to the evolution of HP's technology innovation.,
