Production And Maintenance Engineer
We are looking for a Production & Maintenance Engineer for coordinating production activities and maintaining one of our client company's owned assets/equipment at the Third-Party Contract Manufacturing (3PM) site. 1. Production Activities at 3PM • Act as the central point of contact, coordinating activities between the client company Sales team and the 3PM facility to manufacture dispensing products according to customer requirements. • Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and ensure sufficient supplies (WIP, BOIs) are available to meet demand. • Ensure products are manufactured efficiently, meet quality standards, and are delivered on time. Proactively seek opportunities to improve production processes and efficiency. • Analyse production processes to identify areas for improvement. Implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality. • Build and maintain strong relationships with 3PM, ensuring quality and timely delivery of supplies. • Prepare reports on supply chain performance, analyse data, and identify trends. • Collaborate with other 3PM teams, including operations and engineering, to ensure smooth operations and address any arising issues. • Develop and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. 2. Maintenance Activities at 3PM Site • Plan and ensure that the 3PM carries out routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns of injection molds and assembly machines, ensuring optimal equipment performance. • Implement proactive maintenance strategies, including regular inspections and system upgrades, to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. • Ensure all equipment and processes comply with safety regulations and standards. • Develop and implement strategies to optimize equipment life cycles, reduce operational costs, and improve productivity. • Ensure the 3PM maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. • Support the contract manufacturer in designing required tools, jigs, and fixtures to facilitate product testing and/or establish manual assembly of dispensers. Qualifications: • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. • 3-4 years of relevant experience in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance. • Strong understanding of engineering principles. Knowledge of injection molding and assembly of plastic components is an added advantage. • Ability to analyze information, diagnose problems, and develop solutions. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with others. • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions under pressure. • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment, with knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
