Art and Craft Assistant

You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and maintaining lesson plans and instructional materials for students. Evaluating student performance, providing feedback to enhance their skills, and reporting to the Coordinator/Principal will be part of your duties. Collaboration and organization of school functions/events/school productions will also be expected from you. Ensuring student behavioral standards and maintaining a disciplined environment during group rehearsals, practices, and performances is essential. You will participate in curriculum development programs, student activities, and faculty committees. Attendance at educational workshops, trainings, and professional development programs will be necessary to uphold professional competence. Maintaining student grading and attendance records, evaluating student progress, and ensuring completion of assigned work are key responsibilities. You will need to maintain a cordial relationship with associated teachers and uphold professional and disciplined relationships with other staff members. Training, rehearsing, and leading students, conducting classes as per board regulations, and creating a positive educational climate for students are vital aspects of the role. Understanding the potential and skills of each student and guiding them accordingly is important. Fostering professional and disciplined relationships between students and teachers is crucial. Developing a list of parents willing to volunteer and leveraging their services for various school activities will be required. Effective communication skills are necessary, along with arranging workshops on parenting and exam-related anxieties. Constantly updating parents about school activities, their child's progress, expected learning outcomes, portfolios, and home assignments is essential. Involving parents in community outreach work and conducting Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to discuss student progress and challenges are part of the role. Encouraging parent attendance at PTMs to stay informed about curriculum, pedagogy, examinations, and school developments is important. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule.
