The job involves conducting hydrological modeling and flood modeling using software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, QGIS, and other relevant tools. You will be responsible for performing watershed analysis, flood risk assessment, and analyzing historical rainfall data for estimating discharge. Additionally, you will need to analyze and interpret data from remote sensing and GIS applications, review topography and hydrology reports, and provide technical support on hydrological and flood inundation modeling. Collaboration with clients is crucial for model development, data collection, and project updates. You will be required to prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and presentations showcasing project outcomes, findings, and recommendations. Field visits for hydrological data collection and coordination with drone pilots for topography surveys are also part of the responsibilities. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of stormwater drainage design, soil properties, and geotechnical investigation assessment. Proficiency in software tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ArcSWAT, QSWAT, Q-GIS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite is desired. Knowledge of programming languages like Python and C++ is an advantage. Desirable skills include working knowledge of Civil 3D software for levelling, grading, and drainage design, proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis, familiarity with Indian and American codes and standards, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and reports. Experience in site visits, data collection, engineering calculations, quantity take-offs, cost estimating, and material specifications is valuable. The candidate should hold a B. Tech in Civil and M. Tech in Water Resource/Environment Engineering with around 2 years of experience in environmental engineering and relevant software applications. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, effective communication, adaptability to changing project requirements, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential qualities for this role.,
