Job Description

As a Consultant/Architect, your primary responsibility will be to design end-to-end data architectures in Microsoft Fabric, focusing on the gold (semantic, reporting-ready) and silver (cleansed, integrated) data layers. You will collaborate with business units to understand data landscapes and translate requirements into actionable adoption strategies. Additionally, you will lead implementations involving Fabric components such as Data Factory, Synapse Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse, and Power BI datasets. Your role will involve developing and optimizing data models for the silver and gold layers, considering performance, scalability, and usability. You will also be responsible for defining and enforcing data governance policies and standards within Microsoft Fabric. Furthermore, you will need to identify and resolve performance issues in Fabric, particularly in query performance and data processing. In this position, you will mentor client and internal teams on best practices and architecture patterns for gold/silver layer development, as well as troubleshoot complex integration and transformation challenges in the Fabric ecosystem. To be successful in this role, you should have a deep understanding of modern data warehousing principles and extensive experience in designing and implementing data solutions on Microsoft Azure. Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric components for building pipelines and analytical models is essential. You should also possess a proven ability to design dimensional and relational data models optimized for reporting (gold layer) and a strong grasp of ETL/ELT patterns for building integrated data layers (silver layer). Experience with data quality checks, governance frameworks, and strong SQL skills for data manipulation and querying are required. Proficiency in Power BI and its integration with Fabric datasets is also necessary. Preferred qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience), Microsoft certifications related to Azure data services or Fabric, experience with real-time data processing and streaming in Fabric, familiarity with data science workflows, and their integration into Fabric-based solutions. Experience with Azure AI Foundry is considered a plus. As a Consultant/Architect, you will play a crucial role in guiding clients in strategically adopting Microsoft Fabric and designing efficient data architectures that meet their needs while ensuring high performance, scalability, and usability. Your expertise in Microsoft technologies, research analysis, and strong communication and client engagement skills will be invaluable in this position.,
