Job Description

eDrive Test Engineer Responsible for testing electrical machines, subcomponents, and inverter systems. Prepare test articles, instrumentation, and setups including wiring harnesses, fixturing, and mobile test equipment. Operate test cells with dynamometers, variable frequency drives, battery simulators, active and passive loads, oil conditioning units, air and coolant chillers, thermal and NVH chambers, and data acquisition systems. Interface microcontrollers for control unit tuning and calibration. Configure data acquisition systems to measure temperature, voltage, current, electrical and mechanical power, speed, torque, vibration, and pressure. Operate equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and integrated DAQ systems. Execute manual and automated tests by following test plans, user guides, and safety protocols. Build data post-processing tools and generate detailed test reports. Develop and implement test processes, procedures, and work instructions. Collaborate with multi-functional teams, leadership, fabrication shops, and part vendors. Share results and present findings to stakeholders. Ensure quality, safety, and compliance with company standards. Work on small and large-scale lab projects for new or upgraded equipment. Participate in project engineering, design test setups for standard or custom test methods, and support engineers and technicians. Engage in continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and development of best practices. Contribute to innovation and improvement of lab operations, equipment reliability, and product performance.
