Shift Supervision: Oversee shift operations including raw material handling, furnace operations, casting, and rolling processes. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of operators and technicians and ensure adequate manpower availability and skill development. Production Monitoring: Track production targets, KPIs, and ensure output aligns with quality and quantity requirements. Process Optimization: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and reduce downtime. Quality Assurance: Coordinate with the quality department to ensure adherence to product specifications and metallurgical standards. Safety Compliance: Enforce plant safety protocols and conduct regular toolbox talks, safety drills, and inspections. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain shift reports, logbooks, and SAP entries related to production, maintenance, and incident management. Coordination: Collaborate with maintenance, logistics, and planning departments to ensure smooth flow of operations. Cost Control: Monitor consumption of raw materials, utilities, and consumables to minimize wastage and optimize costs. Key Qualifications, Skills & Competencies :- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Metallurgy / Mechanical / Production Engineering or related field. 2 to 3 years of experience in steel plant operations, preferably in a supervisory role. Knowledge of steel plant processes such as EAF, LRF, CCM, or Hot Strip Mill. Strong leadership and communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in MS Office and SAP (preferred). Ability to work under pressure and in rotating shifts.
