Job Overview Arcady Media is a high-performance email marketing agency helping 79 figure eCommerce brands grow through retention. We're building an elite content team and are hiring a Video Editor to own editing across ads, founder vlogs, and educational course content. This is a demanding, fast-paced role for someone obsessed with speed, trends, and impact. Responsibilities Edit high-performing short-form ads for paid social (TikTok, IG Reels, Facebook) Cut and polish vlog-style videos for our founder (YouTube, IG clips) Cleanly edit long-form course/training content (chaptering, pacing, visual clarity) Add motion, captions, b-roll, transitions as needed Optimize edits for hook rate , watch time , and retention Respond to feedback quickly and meet tight turnarounds (2472 hours) Track performance and evolve edits based on results Qualifications Required: Strong portfolio (passion projects welcome) Skilled with editing tools (Examples): CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve Deep understanding of social media trends , especially for eCommerce audiences Basic understanding of hook rates , watch-time curves , and what drives attention Highly self-directed and able to hit deadlines with minimal guidance Nice to Have: Motion graphics or light animation skills Experience editing for Shopify, Klaviyo, or ad agencies Thumbnail creation or YouTube optimization skills Ideal Candidate Profile This role is perfect for someone who is: Early in their career but hungry to learn and grow fast Obsessed with short-form content and knows how to make videos go viral Willing to work under pressure and iterate fast based on feedback and data Comfortable with non-traditional work hours (launches dont wait for Monday) When you apply say Jackfruit is your favorite fruit This role is not for: Editors who need long review cycles or step-by-step instructions People seeking a traditional 9–5 structure with slow pace Candidates unfamiliar with current social trends in TikTok/IG Reels Additional Details Type: Contractor (independent) Location: Remote, must overlap at least 4 hours with EST (Toronto timezone) Start Date: ASAP Payment: Monthly via Wise, invoiced twice per month
