ARC WELDER / Assembly line

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Line & Arc Welder with hands-on experience in SPM (Special Purpose Machine) assembly and arc welding operations. The ideal candidate must be capable of handling structural welding, basic fitting, mechanical assembly tasks, and support equipment build processes from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical assembly of SPM machines and subassemblies as per engineering drawings.
• Carry out arc welding and cutting operations with precision and safety.
• Read and interpret technical blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment efficiently.
• Ensure proper alignment and fitting of machine components during assembly.
• Collaborate with the design and fabrication team to meet project timelines.
• Follow all workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Assist in testing, debugging, and machine trials during installation.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong knowledge of arc welding, gas cutting, and fabrication.
• Experience in SPM machine assembly and mechanical fitting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring instruments.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
• Team player with a commitment to quality and timelines.

Eligibility Criteria:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Fitter / Fabrication or relevant field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in welding & machine assembly.
• Candidates from Chennai region (Ambattur preferred) are strongly encouraged to apply.
