Position Title: Senior Associate – Arbitration Location : Chembur, Mumbai Experience : 5–7 years (Post-Qualification) About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Associate to join our growing legal team. The role requires strong command over arbitration matters and contract management. You will be expected to independently handle end-to-end arbitration proceedings and provide legal support in high-value contract review, drafting, and strategic advisory. Key Responsibilities: Arbitration Handling : Independently manage all stages of arbitration including: Drafting pleadings, statements of claim/defense, written submissions Representing and arguing before arbitral tribunals Liaising with clients, experts, and co-counsel to drive case strategy Court Appearances : Handle court litigation strictly arising out of or relating to arbitration matters (Section 9, 11, 34, 37 petitions, etc.) Contract Advisory : Draft, vet, and negotiate complex commercial contracts including MSAs, franchise agreements, SLAs, and NDAs Assist clients with contract lifecycle management and compliance monitoring Client Engagement : Act as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding business needs, pre-empting legal risks, and delivering commercially sound solutions Training & Mentorship : Guide and review work of junior associates; ensure consistency and quality of legal output Requirements: LL.B. from a reputed law school; enrollment with Bar Council 5–7 years of experience in arbitration and commercial contract law Strong command over written and spoken English Excellent legal research, analytical thinking, and drafting skills Ability to work independently and lead client mandates with minimal supervision High degree of accountability, integrity, and attention to detail Team player with a solution-oriented approach Preferred Experience: Prior experience in boutique arbitration or corporate law firms Exposure to cross-border arbitration or international commercial contracts Working knowledge of contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools is a plus
