As an Application Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in contributing to and executing the application security strategy. Your key responsibilities will include: - Attending the AppSec Champion community regular meetings to stay updated on the latest information and share status, success, difficulties, and feedback within the community. - Ensuring that development teams are trained in cybersecurity applied to development according to the program and resources provided by the central team, including secure coding practices and best practices. - Organizing awareness sessions for the development team on best practices and vulnerabilities most commonly encountered during pentests. - Promoting the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) within the organization. - Contributing to documenting the SSDLC and associated tools to streamline the security processes. - Introducing new security checks, processes, and tools in your respective projects to enhance the overall security posture. - Conducting security findings review of projects within your perimeter with respective development teams and ensuring that remediation meets expectations. - Reviewing Merge Requests (MR) with outstanding security issues unresolved and escalating remediation issues to the central team when necessary. - Collaborating with the Security Operations Center (SOC) on security incidents and assisting the team in addressing responses to security incidents. - Contributing to documenting well-known vulnerabilities or common remediations to improve overall security awareness within the organization. You will play a critical role in ensuring the security of applications by proactively identifying and addressing potential security vulnerabilities.,
