As a member of the founding engineering team at a San Francisco-based stealth startup, you will be redefining how AI engineers build and deploy AI agents. Backed by top-tier Silicon Valley VCs, this seed-stage company is focused on empowering developers with intelligent tools that accelerate engineering workflows. You will have the opportunity to work directly with this high-impact startup, contributing to the core product from Day 1. Collaborating closely with experienced founders, you will build foundational systems and shape the trajectory of a product designed by engineers for engineers. This role provides a rare opportunity to be part of a mission-driven, deeply technical team solving challenging problems in a high-trust environment while being fully remote and globally supported through RemoteEngine. Responsibilities: - Build and scale backend and applied AI systems. - Work hands-on with open-source frameworks, extending/customizing as needed. - Train and fine-tune models such as LLMs, transformers, CNNs, speech/vision models. - Collaborate closely with the founders on product and technical direction. Qualifications: - 3-8 years of experience in backend engineering or applied AI. - An ex-Google/Meta/open-source/startup background is a strong plus. - Still coding hands-on (not just managing). - Strong experience in Python/Go or similar + modern AI/ML frameworks. - Curious, entrepreneurial, and able to thrive in a fast-paced startup. - Big plus: Prior work experience in the US (e.g., MS + OPT, returned due to H-1B), with exposure to Bay Area or New York startup ecosystems.
