As a Senior Navision Technical Consultant with expertise in the AFS Retail industry, your primary responsibility will be to lead the design, development, and deployment of Microsoft Dynamics NAV solutions. You will be required to collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and IT teams to deliver customized solutions tailored to the specific needs of the retail sector. Your key responsibilities will include designing and developing customizations, extensions, and integrations in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, translating user requirements into technical solutions, and ensuring adherence to coding best practices and release management procedures. You will also lead NAV implementations and upgrades, perform performance tuning, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain integrations between NAV and AFS Retail solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining technical documentation, establishing coding standards, and driving continuous improvement in development processes. Your role will also involve providing mentorship to junior developers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and serving as a subject matter expert on NAV technical capabilities. The ideal candidate for this role should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, at least 6 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, and a proven track record in leading technical design and deployment of NAV solutions. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics NAV architecture, SQL Server, version control systems, and soft skills such as analytical thinking, communication, and leadership are essential for success in this role. Preferred attributes for this position include certifications in Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central, AFS Retail certifications, experience with Azure services or Power Platform, and knowledge of Agile or Waterfall project management methodologies.
