Project Role :Application Support Engineer

Project Role Description :Act as software detectives, provide a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems.
Must have skills :Microsoft Azure IaaS

Good to have skills :Ansible on Microsoft Azure

Summary:As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service that identifies and resolves issues within various components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with different teams, analyzing system performance, and ensuring that all applications run smoothly to support business operations effectively. You will engage in troubleshooting activities, working diligently to maintain system integrity and enhance user experience across the organization.Roles & Responsibilities:- VM Lifecycle Management- Provision, configure, and manage virtual machines in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.- Perform OS-level configurations (Linux/Windows) and updates.- Handle VM resizing, backup, patching, and decommissioning tasks.- Cloud Infrastructure Operations- Maintain VM templates, golden images, and autoscaling configurations.- Manage VM availability sets, scale sets, snapshots, and storage volumes.- Ensure VM and resource tagging for cost and inventory tracking.- Automation & IaC-Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or ARM templates to automate VM provisioning and configuration.- Create and maintain automation scripts (Bash, PowerShell, Python) for operational tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Azure IaaS, Ansible on Microsoft Azure.- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure management and deployment strategies.- Cloud PlatformsAWS (EC2, AMI, VPC), Azure (VMs, Scale Sets), GCP (Compute Engine)- OS Administration Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu), Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across various system components.-IaC & Automation Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM templates, PowerShell-Scripting Bash, PowerShell, Python-Monitoring CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Zabbix-Backup & DR Snapshots, Cloud-native backups, Commvault, Veeam (optional)-Security:IAM, RBAC, NSGs, firewalls, encryption, patching tools-Cost Management :Rightsizing, Reserved Instances, Billing/Cost Explorer tools
Additional Information:- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft Azure IaaS.- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.- A 15 years full time education is required. Qualification 15 years full time education
