About the Role

Application Security Engineer / Security Lead

Key Responsibilities

Lead and implement
application security best practices
across multiple development teams.
Perform
secure code reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments
.
Integrate
security tools (SAST, DAST, IAST, dependency scanning)
into CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to ensure
secure design and deployment
of applications.
Guide teams on
authentication, authorization, cryptography, and secure communication protocols
.
Ensure compliance with security standards such as
SOC 2, ISO 27001, NYDFS
, etc.
Mentor and train developers on secure coding practices.

Technical Expertise Required

7+ years
of experience in software development and security.
Strong coding background in
Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#
.
In-depth knowledge of
microservices architecture
and
cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
.
Hands-on experience with
CI/CD, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code
.
Expertise in
application security frameworks, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques
.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
Proven experience in
leading technical or security initiatives
.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across distributed teams.
