Application Manager - Sales Technology Systems

As the Application Manager Sales Technology Systems at Medline, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging your strong technical expertise and business acumen to drive the development of effective business solutions. Working in close collaboration with business, architecture, and technical teams, you will oversee the support, development, and delivery of solutions with the highest quality standards for both cloud and non-cloud applications. Your responsibilities will include coaching and mentoring team members to foster their personal and professional growth, providing technical leadership to software development teams, and cultivating a positive culture of engagement, collaboration, professionalism, and accountability. You will be instrumental in managing all aspects of staffing, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, supervision, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions, ensuring that the team meets its commitments efficiently and with high quality. Furthermore, you will be tasked with curating an agile and responsive work environment that balances time, cost, and scope, collaborating with other leaders to define solutions, best practices, and architectural patterns, and supporting robust change and configuration management practices. Your role will also involve managing relationships with technology vendors and service integrators, supporting the development of business cases and cost-benefit analysis for IS spend, and promoting digital workplace initiatives to enhance productivity and workforce capability. In addition to overseeing solutions that ensure security, availability, and risk management, you will be responsible for managing programs and projects to ensure timely and successful delivery. You will research and recommend technology improvements, advocate for the needs of the software development team, and promote department-wide initiatives related to system availability and resiliency. Your role will also involve assisting project teams in guiding DevOps practices, facilitating the implementation of Scrum and Agile development methodologies, and decoding technical requirements to add them to the backlog via the product owner. With your 12 to 15 years of IT work experience, including 2 to 3 years of team management experience in application development and support, you will bring a strong technical background in Dot Net, SQL, and exposure to Azure to the role. Experience in process automation, preferably using UiPath, exposure to DevOps processes and tooling, data integration between connected systems with strong ETL and Reporting knowledge, and the ability to provide vision and direction in terms of coding, application architecture, and development framework will be essential for success in this position. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication, creativity, and out-of-the-box thinking will also be critical attributes for the role.
