Summary:As an Application Lead, you will lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure that application requirements are met, overseeing the development process, and providing guidance to team members. You will also engage in problem-solving activities, ensuring that the applications are aligned with business needs and technical specifications. Your role will require you to facilitate communication between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope. Roles & Responsibilities:- Serve as the SAP MM Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a retail merchandise SAP S/4HANA conversion project.- Lead the functional analysis, solution design, and implementation of MM processes, including purchasing, inventory management, stock transfers, vendor master, pricing, and invoice verification.- Translate legacy retail merchandise processes into S/4HANA best practices while ensuring business continuity.- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate functional requirements.- Strong hands-on experience with SAP MM components:Purchasing (MM-PUR), Inventory Management (MM-IM), Invoice Verification (MM-IV), and retail-specific extensions.- Proficient in SAP Retail data structures, article master, and listing/exclusion processes.- Deep understanding of MM integration points with SD, FI, WM/EWM, and retail POS systems.- Proven experience with interface design, API/IDocs, BAPIs, and third-party system integration.- Good integration experience with SAP EWM or third-party logistics systems (external warehousing, inventory) and SAP CAR.- Participate in data migration activities related to material master, vendor master, purchasing documents, and inventory balances.- Collaborate with SAP Basis, ABAP, and middleware teams on interface redesign and optimization during conversion.- Support end-to-end testing, issue resolution, and user training throughout the project lifecycle.- Identify integration and functional risks early and propose mitigation strategies.- Provide post-go-live support and facilitate knowledge transfer to internal teams. Skills:
- Minimum 2 full-cycle implementations in a retail merchandise environment.- At least 1 SAP S/4HANA conversion or greenfield implementation experience.- Experience with SAP Fashion/Retail industry solutions.- Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps and S/4HANA simplification items related to MM.- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both business and technical stakeholders.
