Application Infra - Team Lead (Backend)

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading your team towards achieving collective goals by contributing to the design, architecture, development, quality, and deployment of the team's systems. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing robust, scalable, and maintainable backend solutions for complex scenarios, ensuring high-quality results that can be utilized by other teams. Collaborating effectively with your team and cross-functional partners is essential, representing your team when necessary and maintaining and enhancing the team's engineering practices by suggesting and implementing technology, patterns, or process improvements. Proactively identifying areas for enhancement in team systems, processes, and scalability is key, along with leading by example in code quality by significantly contributing to code reviews and promoting engineering excellence. You should have 3 to 8 years of experience in backend software engineering roles, demonstrating a strong ability to navigate technical trade-offs and ambiguity effectively. Extensive experience in the C# and .Net ecosystem is a mandatory requirement, coupled with hands-on experience in SQL Server and database management. Additionally, experience with message queues or streaming platforms such as RabbitMQ, SQS, or Kafka, writing unit tests, solid knowledge of design principles, data structures, and algorithms, as well as familiarity with microservices architecture is expected. You should be adept at designing new functionality for existing complex components while ensuring scalability and performance. Effective collaboration and communication of technical concepts to diverse stakeholders are essential skills required for this role. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent is preferred. Practical experience with Agile development methodologies, familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, knowledge of non-relational databases such as MongoDB, and experience in mentoring new hires and interns are advantageous but not mandatory requirements.
