Application Developer (Oracle/Sql) - Unix - Shell Scripting

The Applications Development Programmer Analyst position is an intermediate level role where you will be responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your main objective will be to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. In this role, you will utilize your knowledge of applications development procedures, concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements. You will be responsible for identifying and analyzing issues, making recommendations, and implementing solutions. Additionally, you will utilize your knowledge of business processes, system processes, and industry standards to solve complex issues. As an Applications Development Programmer Analyst, you will conduct testing and debugging, utilize script tools, and write basic code for design specifications. It is important to assess the applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures. Developing a working knowledge of Citis information systems, procedures, standards, client server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications will be essential in this role. When making business decisions, you must appropriately assess risk, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This includes driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency. To be successful in this role, you should have 0-2 years of relevant experience and experience in programming/debugging used in business applications. A working knowledge of industry practice and standards, comprehensive knowledge of specific business areas for application development, and working knowledge of program languages are required. You should consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication. Education requirements include a Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
