About The Role

Project Role :Application Automation Engineer

Project Role Description :Deliver predictive and intelligent delivery approaches based on automation and analytics. Drive the automation of delivery analytics to gather insights from data.

Summary:The QA Engineering independently executes a range of critical testing activities for a portfolio of products and services, driving best practice standards for test quality, resource planning and issue resolution, in alignment to business strategy and requirements. Roles & Responsibilities:Designing, developing, and maintaining automation test suites for Web, Android, and iOS applications (60% scripting, 40% manual validation).Building and optimizing frameworks using Appium, Cucumber, WebdriverIO, and Typescript.Collaborating with developers, product owners, and testers to define acceptance criteria, regression suites, and automation coverage goals.Performing middleware and integration testing across platforms such as SAP Hybris, Commerce Tools, CMS, Talon.One, and Algolia.Actively participating in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and aligning test strategies with business requirements.Executing tests on cloud-based platforms like Perfecto.Embedding automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) for continuous delivery.Documenting and tracking test scenarios, test cases, and defects in Jira / Xray.Leading regression, sanity, and exploratory testing cycles, reporting test results, and ensuring zero client escalations.Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying gaps and suggesting enhancements to automation frameworks and QA processes.Professional & Technical
Skills:

Essential:Proven experience in building automation frameworks from scratch for Web and Mobile.Strong expertise with Appium, Cucumber, WebdriverIO, TypeScript.Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).Strong exposure to cross-platform and cross-browser testing with BrowserStack, Perfecto, and HeadSpin.Proficiency in API Testing (REST, GraphQL) using Postman/Swagger.Experience with Jira / Xray for test and defect management.Excellent knowledge of Agile testing practices, QA concepts, and SDLC/STLC.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders.Must Have:TypeScript programming expertise.Cucumber BDD framework implementation experience.WebdriverIO experience for Web/Mobile automation.Nice to Have:Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Flutter app automation.Exposure to middleware testing and e-commerce platforms (SAP Hybris, Commerce Tools, Talon.One).
Additional Information:The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Automated Testing.This position is based at our Bengaluru office.A 15 years full time education is required. Qualification 15 years full time education
