Application Architect - UI

As a principal engineer at our organization, you will play a crucial role in our cross-functional product team dedicated to delivering new features to our client base of property managers and housing associations. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including providing technical solutions to complex problems, demonstrating expertise in relevant subsystems, offering guidance to teammates, and making informed decisions on build vs. buy strategies. Your role will require you to be a highly productive contributor while upholding best engineering practices and fostering professional growth opportunities within our growing company. Your deep knowledge and understanding of current systems will be essential as you coach, mentor, and develop the technical skills of team members. By proactively tackling code blockers and actively participating in core design implementations, you will help drive the development of new features and enhancements within the Buildium platform. Leveraging technologies such as C#, ASP.NET Web API, Angular, and MySql on AWS infrastructure, you will lead by example in writing high-quality code efficiently. To excel in this role, you should possess 10+ years of experience in developing customer-facing software, from project planning to successful feature delivery. Your expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue will be crucial. Additionally, your experience in creating and consuming REST web services, working with relational databases such as MySQL or SQL Server, and familiarity with AWS services is highly valued. Proficiency in source code management tools like Git, along with strong presentation and facilitation skills, are essential for this position. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience will be beneficial for fulfilling the qualifications required for this role.
