This role will be responsible for overseeing the underwriting process for commercial trucking risks, ensuring profitability, compliance, and service standards are met. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in commercial auto/truck insurance, strong analytical skills, and a leadership background in managing underwriting teams Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of underwriters specializing in commercial trucking risks across the US. Develop and implement underwriting guidelines, best practices, and procedures to ensure consistent risk assessment. Analyze risk exposures and pricing adequacy to maintain profitability within underwriting portfolio. Collaborate with actuarial, claims, and sales teams to develop products and manage portfolio performance. Approve complex or high-value submissions and provide authority oversight within established limits. Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity to inform strategy and underwriting direction.
