Job Description

As an Appium Automation Tester, you will play a crucial role in our QA team by leading the automation efforts for mobile application testing. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Appium for both Android and iOS platforms. Collaborating with developers, product managers, and QA analysts will be essential to ensure the delivery of high-quality mobile experiences. Your tasks will include designing and implementing automated test scripts, developing reusable components, and maintaining automation frameworks for Android and iOS platforms. You will execute functional, regression, and smoke tests across various devices and OS versions, integrating mobile automation tests into CI/CD pipelines. It will be your responsibility to analyze test results, identify issues, and report defects with detailed documentation. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage will be a key aspect of your role. You will also maintain test data and support test environment setup for mobile testing. The ideal candidate for this role will have hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation, a strong knowledge of mobile testing concepts including UI, gestures, and device compatibility. Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript for writing automation scripts is required, along with experience in TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest frameworks. Familiarity with Android Studio, Xcode, and mobile emulators/simulators, as well as an understanding of XPath, accessibility IDs, and mobile locators, will be beneficial.
