Key Responsibilities

Define and establish the overall Appian solution architecture and development standards
Lead end-to-end Appian application design including process models, data models, and UI/UX
Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing Appian solutions
Evaluate technical feasibility, integrations, and performance optimization
Provide hands-on technical guidance to developers and ensure code quality
Integrate Appian with external systems (REST/SOAP APIs, databases, middleware)
Conduct architecture reviews, technical assessments, and PoCs
Mentor junior developers and lead knowledge-sharing sessions
Collaborate with infra teams for deployments, security, compliance, and scalability
Troubleshoot performance or functional issues in Appian applications
Stay updated with Appian releases, best practices, and industry trends

Required Skills & Qualifications

10–12+ years of total IT experience, with strong Appian architecture expertise
Hands-on experience with Appian 22.x or later (Sites, Records, Interfaces, Process Models, Web APIs, Integrations, RPA, AI)
Strong experience in Appian plug-in development (Java)
Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
Expertise in designing scalable and reusable Appian components
Strong understanding of Appian performance tuning & security guidelines
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, ANT scripts)
Appian Lead Developer (L3) certification required
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

Agile/Scrum experience
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience in large-scale BPM/digital transformation programs
Familiarity with other low-code/BPM platforms
