Design Creation - Generate creative ideas and concepts for new collections based on seasonal trends, market research, and brand direction. - Working on Mood boards, Color palette, Conceptualization, Fabric direction, Trim direction, Print/pattern and Graphic direction - Choose appropriate fabrics and materials that align with the design vision, quality standards keeping price in mind. - Range planning and presentation to stakeholders Design development - Ideate and collaborate on creating design briefs in conjunction with Design Head for each season/drop. - Lead the team of designers to effectively convert design brief into styles/collection as per option plan. - Ensure high quality of design output with high commercial viability. - Ensure timely delivery of tech packs and information to relevant teams. - Provide accurate and detailed briefs to print/graphic designers. - Provide approvals/feedback for artwork, lab dips, strike offs, bit looms and samples in conjunction with relevant teams. - Maintain data, logs and records of all actions taken during process of development. - Sampling and Fit Management: - Be responsible for timely prototype design and the delivery of proto samples to test initial fit and measurement. - Oversee the fitting process, ensuring garments meet design specifications, fit standards, and quality requirements. - Conduct fit sessions with models and provide feedback to patternmakers and sample sewers to achieve desired fit and silhouette. - Collaborate with technical design and production teams to address fit issues and quality concerns throughout the development process. Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Work closely with cross-functional teams including merchandising, production, marketing , photoshoot to ensure alignment on design direction, product development timelines, and commercial objectives. - Collaborate with the product development team to select fabrics, trims, and embellishments that meet quality standards and cost targets. - Partner with the marketing team/social media/creatives to develop creative assets, campaign concepts, and visual merchandising strategies to support product launches and promotional activities. Project Management and Execution: - Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet deadlines and deliverables. - Develop and maintain design calendars, tracking progress and milestones to ensure timely completion of collections and projects. - Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to coordinate workflow and resolve issues proactively. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, Fashion Design or related field in NIFT,Pearl or any other relevant reputed college/institutions. Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in women's Indian nwear design, with a proven track record of delivering successful collections. Strong proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and basic familiarity with PLM systems. Experience with Trend forecasting tools such as WGSN, Stylumia etc. Exceptional creativity and aesthetic sensibility, with a demonstrated ability to translate trends into commercially viable designs. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with a passion for craftsmanship and quality. Proven leadership skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
