Apparel Designer (luxury fashion brand)

As an Apparel Designer at our premium fashion brand based in Gurgaon, India, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative apparel collections that resonate with luxury fashion trends and the brand's unique identity. With 3-8 years of experience in apparel design, preferably within a high-end fashion brand, you will bring a deep understanding of luxury fashion trends, textiles, and garment construction to the table. Your key responsibilities will include researching and creating innovative design concepts for seasonal collections, developing mood boards, sketches, and tech packs for new designs, and collaborating with merchandising and trend teams to ensure alignment with market demand. You will also be responsible for sourcing high-quality fabrics, trims, and accessories, as well as coordinating technical aspects of production, such as preparing detailed sketches and tech packs, collaborating with pattern makers and sampling teams, and conducting fit sessions to ensure quality standards are met. In addition, you will stay updated on global and local fashion trends, consumer preferences, and competitor strategies by attending fashion shows, trade fairs, and exhibitions. Your role will also involve close collaboration with marketing, merchandising, and sales teams for campaign shoots and launch strategies, as well as assisting in branding elements such as packaging, brand storytelling, and visual merchandising. To excel in this role, you should possess strong sketching skills (hand-drawn & digital), expertise in garment construction, pattern making, and draping, knowledge of fabric science, dyeing techniques, and sustainable practices, as well as strong trend forecasting and storytelling abilities. Excellent communication, presentation skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are also essential.
