As a Senior Mobile Developer at Ciena, you will report to the Mobile Development Lead and play a key role in modernizing our mobile application ecosystem. Your primary responsibility will be to support existing native iOS apps and lead their migration to hybrid apps using Flutter, ensuring seamless performance across both iOS and Android platforms. Your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications for internal and external users. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business processes and implement improvements. Additionally, you will evaluate and integrate third-party libraries, toolkits, and software lifecycle tools. Taking ownership of development tasks in an agile environment with minimal supervision will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. The Must Haves: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. - Experience: Minimum 7 years in software/application development, with a strong focus on mobile apps. - Technical Skills: - Proficiency in Flutter/Dart and REST API integration. - Experience in native iOS development and app migration. - Strong understanding of UI/UX principles for iOS/Android. - Familiarity with Webpack, HTML, CSS3, JavaScript. - Experience with Bloc architecture, offline storage, and performance tuning. - Hands-on experience with Git, Subversion, Android Studio, VS Code. Assets: - Experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD platforms. - Knowledge of Objective C, C#, Python. - Understanding of RESTful services and HTTP protocols. - Exposure to cloud technologies (Azure App Services, Microservices, Containers, etc.). - Experience with unit testing and end-to-end UI testing. Job Description: Key Responsibilities: AWS Cloud Migration Project Management Lead end-to-end AWS cloud migration projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Define migration strategies (Rehost, Replat form, Refactor, Retire, Retain) aligned with business goals. Work closely with architects, engineers, and DevOps teams to ensure a smooth transition to AWS. • Oversee AWS service configurations such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Cloud Formation, Terraform. Ensure migration activities comply with security, compliance, and governance standards. Stakeholder & Vendor Management Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and AWS partners to drive project success. Manage vendor relationships for third-party cloud tools and services. Conduct regular status meetings, communicate progress, and resolve blockers. Risk & Change Management Identify risks and mitigation strategies associated with cloud migrations. Ensure minimal business disruption during the migration process. Implement best practices for disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BCP) in AWS. Agile & DevOps Enablement Drive Agile/Scrum methodologies for efficient project execution. Work closely with DevOps teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines for AWS deployments. Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or AWS Cloud Formation. Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in Technical Project Management (Cloud, IT Infrastructure, or DevOps). Hands-on experience with AWS migrations (applications, databases, and infrastructure). Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Cloud Formation, Terraform). Experience managing large-scale cloud migration projects (on-prem to AWS). Proficiency in Agile/Scrum, Jira, Confluence, and DevOps methodologies. Strong understanding of networking, security, compliance, and governance in AWS.
