App Dev Manager - Mainframe

NTT DATA is looking for an App Dev Manager - Mainframe to join their team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. As a part of this role, you will lead and mentor a team of mainframe developers and support engineers, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching and development plans. It will be your responsibility to foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, manage resource allocation, and ensure adequate coverage for support and development tasks. In terms of project and delivery management, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of mainframe development projects. Your role will also involve ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards, as well as coordinating with project managers, business analysts, and QA teams to align deliverables. Tracking and reporting project progress to senior management and stakeholders will also be a key aspect of this position. You will provide technical oversight on mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS, etc. This includes reviewing and approving technical designs and code for quality and compliance, ensuring best practices in coding, testing, and deployment are followed, and staying updated with legacy system modernization trends and tools. Additionally, you will oversee L2/L3 support for mainframe applications, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, implementing and monitoring SLAs and KPIs for support activities, conducting root cause analysis, and driving permanent fixes for recurring issues. Collaboration with infrastructure and operations teams for system maintenance and upgrades will also be part of your responsibilities. You will act as the primary point of contact for business units relying on mainframe systems and translate business requirements into technical deliverables. The required schedule availability for this position is Monday-Friday (12:00 PM to 10:00 pm IST), with the flexibility for shift timings to be changed as per client requirements. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
