The Business Process Re-engineering team in India is looking for an expert Ruby on Rails engineer. In this role, you will partner with multi-functional teams across Apple, working closely with business leaders and other partners to implement new solutions. You will be encouraged to work independently, understand the needs, and build solutions for sophisticated architecture while being comfortable working at a high pace at times. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining highly reliable, scalable, and maintainable enterprise applications that can match Apple volumes. You will need to understand requirements, engage with team members and project managers to define solutions, and estimate the scope of work required. Collaboration, mentoring, and influencing team members within your team and across other teams at Apple will also be crucial. Delivering solutions that can keep up with a constantly evolving product in a timely fashion will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will review technical designs and perform code reviews. **Minimum Qualifications:** - At least 7+ years of experience in designing and developing scalable enterprise-grade solutions - Extensive hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails, Postgres, Redis, and Sidekiq - Hands-on experience with architecture, design, development, and deployment of enterprise systems in the cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) - Experience in rolling out distributed, large-scale, low-latency web applications with REST, Data Caching Services, DB schema design, and data access technologies - Experience crafting and architecting distributed systems, concurrent programming, and coding data structures - Excellent debugging skills - Good understanding of containerization and container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes - Experience designing ecosystems for Web applications & API Platforms - Understand security concepts and build reliable and safe distributed applications - Experience with leading and mentoring Engineers - Ability to optimally multi-task and support multiple, concurrent projects **Preferred Qualifications:** - Familiarity with DevSecOps fundamentals - CI/CD pipelines, continuous monitoring - Familiarity with Go, Java, Python - BS or MS degree in computer science or information management - Excellent analytical and quantitative skills - Experience in a large enterprise, with a global environment, across multiple time zones and geographies - Excellent communication and collaboration skills and ability to multi-task - To be successful, you are self-motivated; driven to achieve and go above and beyond - Attention to detail - Comfortable working in a loosely structured organization If you meet the qualifications and are excited about the opportunity to work with Apple in a dynamic environment, please submit your CV for consideration.,
