As an Application Server & IIS Administrator (Mid-Level) with Basic Computer Knowledge, you will be responsible for managing the monitoring and performance tuning of Microsoft stack web applications. Your role will involve monitoring IIS web server and hosted application performance, setting up and maintaining application health checks, uptime monitoring, and threshold alerts. Additionally, you will be expected to perform basic troubleshooting of Windows application issues, monitor and analyze API performance and availability, as well as generate and share performance reports with stakeholders. Collaboration with development and infrastructure teams is essential to ensure application health, availability, and responsiveness. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in Windows application and server monitoring, along with a basic knowledge of Windows OS, IIS (Internet Information Services), and application hosting. An understanding of monitoring tools like Performance Monitor, Event Viewer, or third-party solutions (e.g., Site24x7, Nagios, SolarWinds, or similar) is required. Your ability to troubleshoot application issues related to memory, CPU usage, or service unavailability will be crucial. Strong communication and documentation skills are also necessary for effective collaboration with various teams.
